The Paleothic Period and the Neolithic Revolution

unti 12,000 years ago our ancestors had lived through a challengin and gruesome lifestyle (nomadic hunter gatherers) survival that required that they are on the move to hunt+gather for food.

What type of lifestyles would have been extremely limiting/challenging? nomadic lifestyles involve gamblnig for food, drought, and there are unfavorable living conditions as well as being on the move constantly, hunting and gathering is inconsistant, and hunting game being dangerous as well as dangerous wether conditions and no maps nor charts

The Peopling of the Earth: can be understood from skeletal remains. The birthpplace of modern humans alos called homo-sapiens is central eastern Africa.

Do you think that packs of hunter-gatherers had the time to develop a cuture? Yes they developed flutes out of bird bones and other instruments and art was developed during the time.

IMPORTANT NOTE → The greatest single invention during the paleothic period was systematic agriculture

The Neolithic Revolution→ creation of farming and the Fertile Crescent was the first civilization that had farming. Neolithic farming villages grew over a long period of time into urban centers and those became large clusters that turned into civilizations

The best civilizations are found in the river valleys and they have the most fertile soil, are great for transportation, avoids extreme heat/cold, and irrigation networks can extends to agricultural areas
