SENCO

·       responsible for ensuring the best outcomes for children with send

·       work with parents, staff, and outside agencies

·       QTS and national award for SEN Co-ordination

DSL

·       responsible for safeguarding within the school

·       all staff must know who they are and report concerns to them

·       usually, member of senior management in school (SENDCO/ HT)

Mental health lead

·       responsible for MH across the setting

·       have other responsibilities such as teaching/management

·       existing staff member with training

Mentor/ Pastoral support

·       responsible for student’s pastoral care and emotional wellbeing

·       experienced staff member with additional training

PANCO

·       responsible for promoting physical activity and nutrition

·       liaise with staff and parents

·       specific training and certification at lvl 4

Councillor

·       support and guide students with a range of issues

·       refer them to specialist agencies

·       BACP training is needed to be a councillor in a setting

Careers advisor

·       advise students about a range of training, qualifications, and careers

·       may have worked in a range of settings or experienced different roles
