What is 5G

The fifth generation of wireless technology represents a complete transformation of telecommunication networks, introducing a bunch of benefits that will create new capabilities and support connectivity for applications like smart cities, autonomous vehicles, and remote healthcare.

Where was 5G developed

Again, there is no specific place, the closest answer would be in whatever laboratory the companies conduct their development in. Or the bank accounts of the companies that decided to invest in 5G.

When was 5G developed

It's not fully developed just yet, but it has started since 2008 South Korea developed an R&D program looking at 5G mobile communication systems.

Why was 5G developed

• Good for workplaces that need to deal with transportation of information (i.e. transferring and downloading mass documents or information)

• Great for commercialized use (though only in specific scenarios like downloading a movie for a long ride, it still saves time and is a good quality of life function)

• Basically, what this is is that if you connect wirelessly via bluetooth or something else, when you perform an action on your current device, the time it takes for that information to transfer to the thing you are connected to is drastically decreased
