Object Pronouns

Words that replace nouns and act as direct or indirect object of a verb - who/what receives action of verb

  • direct object pronoun - who/what receives the action of the verb; examples include 'me', 'you', 'him', 'her', 'it', 'us', and 'them'.

  • indirect object pronoun -for whom/for whatthe action of the verb is performed, such as 'me,' 'you,' 'him,' 'her,' 'us,' and 'them.'

  • English sentence structure - S - V - O
    e.g. I like music - pronoun is subject

  • Albanian sentence structure - O - V - S
    e.g. Music pleases me - pronoun is object

If subject is singular - verb does not change:

  • I - mua më/më e.g. mua më pëlqen muzika

  • You (singular) - ty të/të - ty të pëlqen muzika

  • He - atij i/i - atij i pëlqen muzika.

  • She - asaj i/i - asaj i pëlqen muzika.

If subject is plural - verb conjugation changes

We - neve na/na - neve na pëlqejmë muzika

You (plural) - juve ju/ju - juve ju pëlqeni muzika

They - atyre u/u - u pëlqejnë muzika
