Aquatics - also known as water sports, or anything played in water. Water sports are fun and popular forms of recreational activity.

1.      SWIMMING – involves moving through the water using your arms and legs, one of the most popular taught in school.

2.      TRIATHLON – is an endurance race that consists of swimming, cycling, and running always in that order, various distance(s).

3.      WATER AEROBICS – it consists of being submerged, usually about waist deep in water and moving your water’s resistance. And a healthy mix of cardiovascular and muscular training.

4.      WATER GYMNASTICS – It is suitable for everyone (both old and young). The exercises cover all the muscle groups and include exercises of coordination, stretching and relaxing.

5.      WATER POLO – competitive team sport played in water between two of seven players each.

6.      SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING – also called as Artistic Swimming, is a water sport where athletes perform synchronized dance routines to background music, while they’re floating in the water.

7.      SNORKELING – is peeking through life underneath water by swimming with the aid of a snorkel and mask. It has also been used in water-based search by rescue teams and in water sports such as underwater hockey, underwater rugby, and spear fishing.

8.      SCUBA DIVING – acronym for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus or SCUBA. It’s also a diving method where a diver uses a regulator as the breathing apparatus and a tank with compressed air which enables the diver to breathe normally underwater.

9.      BOATING – involves rowing or sailing a boat.

10.   CANOEING – paddling forward is the most basic and important stroke as this will bring you to places. It is also described in three phases; The Catch, Power Phase and Exit and Recovery.

11.   KAYAKING – the torso and legs will do most of the work, the shoulder and arms will be used to transfer power.

12.   DRAGON BOAT RACING – isa fun-filled, adrenaline pumping, water sports activity. Teams compete in Dragon Boats, which are large canoe-like vessels that are up to 16 people sit in pairs.

13.   ROWING – involves propelling a boat using oars fixed to the vessel

14.   FISHING – mean fishing for, catching, taking or attempting to fish for.

15.   SURFING – and individual uses a board to ride, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore.

16.   WAKEBOARDING – an extreme sport performed on water, the rider is fastened to a board and towed behind a motorboat at speeds of around 50km per hour.
