Skiff - A small, light boat typically used for fishing or sailing.

Gulf Stream - A warm ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico and flows northeastward along the eastern coast of the United States before crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

Benevolent - Showing kindness, goodwill, or generosity.

Tropic - Relating to or situated in the region between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, characterized by warm temperatures and often abundant rainfall.

Stoicism - The endurance of pain or hardship without the display of feelings or complaint; the philosophy that one should remain emotionally detached from external events and maintain a calm and rational demeanor.

Resolution - Firm determination or decision to do something; the action of solving a problem, dispute, or contentious matter.

Relentless - Continuing in a determined and persistent manner; unyielding or unwavering.

Fathom - A unit of length equal to six feet (approximately 1.8 meters), used chiefly for measuring the depth of water.

Marlin - A large game fish with a long body, a spear-like snout, and a long dorsal fin.

Bait - Food or lure placed on a hook or in a trap to attract fish or other animals.

Sullen - Bad-tempered and sulky; gloomy or moody.

Gaunt - Lean and haggard, especially because of suffering, hunger, or age.

Carcass - The dead body of an animal, especially one slaughtered for meat.

Gaff - A pole with a sharp hook on one end, used for landing large fish.

Albatross - A large seabird with long wings, noted for its ability to fly long distances over the ocean.

Desolate - Deserted and barren, often suggesting a sense of bleakness or emptiness.

Resilience - The ability to recover quickly from difficulties or setbacks; toughness or durability.

Humility - The quality of being humble or modest; having a modest or low view of one's importance.

Submerged - Completely covered or hidden beneath a liquid surface.

Adrift - Floating without being anchored or tied down; drifting aimlessly.
