UIL Chemistry

This is a document that contains all the different definitions for various different terms used on UIL Science tests by AP Chemistry unit, and the formula for different UIL Chemistry problems as well

Atomic Structure and Properties

  • Extensive Property - A property of an object that depends on the amount of the object present (ie. momentum or mass)

  • Intensive Property - A property of an object that does not depend on the amount of the object present (ie. solubility in water or flammability)

  • Mnemonic for diatomic molecules - He never falls on ice cream buns (be careful c is chlorine not carbon and b is bromine not boron)
