Palm Weaving

• The knot is the base for any palm weaving

• Scissors cut off the thin parts on each side

• 3 times the width is the length you want cut off

• put that cut piece under the flax in the other direction

  • fold it inwards both sides that makes the sleeve

• fold the top of the larger piece ontop of the sleeve

• pull the bottom over and slide it through the gap all the way to hold it all together now the knot is made

• now pull the bottom in again while your finger is in it and do its many times to make it tighter and snipp the small excess that you dont want

Making a cross

• Needs 4 strands of that have the knot

• Take two of these what you want is to take the front (the one where the sleeve does not show the gap) and place them on top of eachother where the heads is ontop of a tail on each side

  • slide it through the head

• 

• 

  • one side is back one side is front

• Do another one like this wit the other 2 strands

• Open the slot between the heads and slide the other double strand through it then pull on each side to close on it to make a base centre for the cross

• 

  • fold the ends toslide through the back side so its under over under

• Fold to desired length and you have your basic cross
