Harmonics and Overtones

• Fundamental Freq / First Harmonic: Base frequency.
• Overtones: Other natural frequencies; string vibrates in multiple segments.

First Overtone / Second Harmonic

• Frequency: $(2f)$ (Twice fundamental).
• Vibration: Two loops/antinodes.
• Length: Corresponds to a full wavelength, $(L=\lambda)$.

Second Overtone / Third Harmonic

• Length: $(L=2)$ (As per transcript).
