Angels

Muslims believe that angels bring the word of God to the prophets. They are supernatural beings created by God from light.

¨Praise be to God, Creator of the heavens and earth, who made angels messengers with two, three, four wings.¨ Quran 35:1

Angels are pure and sinless, they have no free will and ceaselessly praise and worship God. They also have different roles (e.g. guardian angels, record good and bad deeds etc.)

Muslims believe that angels can take any form.

Important angels:

Jibril: He relayed the Quran to Muhammad from God. God continued to use Jibril to communicate with Muhammad from childhood to his death.

Mika il: The angel of mercy who rewards righteous people for the good they do during their lives on earth.
