Introduction: “We [will] look at thermal processes resulting in energy transfer between objects at different temperatures. We consider how the energy transfer brings about further temperature changes and/or changes of state of phase. We then go on to look at the effect of energy changes in gases and use the kinetic theory to explain the macroscopic properties of gases in terms of the behaviour of gas molecules.”
