Irregular Yo

Some Spanish verbs are irregular in the first-person singular form (Yo form) in the present tense. Irregularity doesn’t always apply to other tenses. Irregular Yo verbs conjugate normally except for the yo form.

Conocer and Saber

Conocer and Saber are examples of irregular yo verbs.

Conocer → Conozco (z is added to maintain the s sound in the stem)

Saber → Sé

Conocer and Saber mean to know.

Se without the accent is a reflexive pronoun meaning himself or herself.
