Message | A message carries information that defines your place in the world |
Source/Sender | Information that you wish others to understand is a message that you send |
Receiver | Receiving a message |
Channel | The arrival of a message through sight, sound, smell, and touch. |
Noise | Interference or barrier to the message that is caused by distracting stimuli or thoughts and feelings |
Verbal symbols in communication | Symbols and words |
Nonverbal symbols in communication | Symbols, Gestures, Facial Expressions, Body Motions, and Tone of Voice |

Generational Context | Different age groups, but understanding the past and respecting the differences |
Multicultural Context | Being understanding of different cultures and traditions |
