Unique Characteristics: Beyond the manufacturer's pattern, investigators look for unique wear patterns or individualizing characteristics, such as pebbles or debris embedded in the grooves.
Suspect Comparison: To create a reference print from a suspect's vehicle, a print of the tire must be made through at least one full revolution to capture the entire circumference.
