Equal Triangles

  • Definition: Triangles that have the same size and shape, where all corresponding sides and angles are equal.

  • Criteria:

    • SSS (Side-Side-Side) Criterion: All three pairs of corresponding sides are equal.

    • SAS (Side-Angle-Side) Criterion: Two pairs of sides and the angle between them are equal. .

    • AAS (Angle-Angle-Side) Criterion: Two pairs of angles and a non-included side are equal.

  • Properties: Equal triangles can be superimposed on each other, and their corresponding angles are congruent while their sides are proportional.

  • If the lengths of the sides of two triangles are the same ,then their angles are also the same

  • the lengths of the sides of two triangles are the same ,then the angles opposite to side of equal length are also equal.
