Social Anxiety Disorder: An intense, persistent fear of being watched or judged by others.
Symptoms:
Blush, sweat, or tremble
Tachycardia
Feeling of mind going blank or sick to their stomach
Rigid body posture
Difficulty making eye contact
Feel self conscious
Avoiding places where there are other people
Panic Attacks: A brief episode of intense anxiety, which causes the physical sensations of fear.
Symptoms:
Sense of impending doom or danger
Fear of loss of control or death
Tachycardia
Sweating
Trembling or shaking
SOB
Chills
Hot flashes
Nasuea
Abdominal cramping
Chest pain
Separation Anxiety: A mental health condition that causes fear and anxiety centered on separation from a close attachment figure.
Symptoms:
Feeling distressed when apart from an attachment figure or anticipating separation
Worry something bad will happen to an attachment figure
Refuse to leave home or go places
Fear being alone without an attachment figure nearby
Refuse to go to sleep without attachment figure
Have physical symptoms when apart from an attachment figure or anticipating separation
Treat with Citalopram (Celexa), Duloxetine (Cymbalta), Escitalopram (Lexapro), Paroxetine (Paxil), Sertraline (Zoloft), Velafaxine (Effexor), Benzodiazepines, Buspirone (Buspar), and Hydroxyzine Pamoate (Vistaril)
