Chapter 2 & 3 Summary
The 2nd chapter focuses on how Meursault’s life didn’t change much after the death of his mother. He spent time with Marie and watched people interact. The 3rd chapter talks about Salamano and his dog that has Mange. He also meets up with Raymond for the first time to write the letter to the woman who did him “dirt”. The two become friends.

- Why would Meursault waste his time off on Sunday just people watching?
- Why do you think Meursault said nothing changed in his life, when his mother died the day before?
- Do you think Raymond’s punishment against the woman was justified?

Possibly autistic? Overstimulated by the weather multiple times throughout the book.
He feels absolutely no emotion and doesn’t understand the reason behind other people feeling.
Sought male acceptance/validation (because his dad died?)
Physicality was very important in this book.
