Putting the Pieces Together

Please make sure you have read all the material above this activity in the module before you attack this assignment.

You have had practice with identifying behavior, operationalizing behavior, understanding what is included in excellent behavioral objectives and the measurable dimensions of behavior.  You have read about establishing criteria and watched a video explaining it.  Now it is time to put it all together.

Here is a Problem:

Davis engages in unsafe behavior in the hallways and on the playground

Using the text entry response option, complete the following steps:

  1. Operationalize the problem. (what does Davis do that makes people say this about them?)
  2. Assume your baseline data supports the need for an intervention.  Using everything you have learned so far, write a complete behavioral objective (that passes the dead man's test)  to address this issue for Davis.
  3. Justify how you chose your criteria (or how you would, if you were the therapist)

This activity is worth 3 participation points.  Unlike previous participation point assignments, this one will be graded out of 3 points (so accuracy matters).  You will have only one attempt to provide a complete behavioral objective for this, so check your work before submitting.
