AAQ outline

A. Identify the research method used in the study

  • only needs to be a sentence, 7 answers: Correlation research, case study, naturalistic observation, meta-analysis, expirament + cross sectional or longitudinal

B. Identify operational definition

  • just need to find the operational definition, precise answer for how the operational definition is quantified.

  • E.g. The operational definition of [variable] is [operational definition.]

C. Describe the meaning of identitfied statistic

  • Mean, Median, Mode, Range, Effect Size, Standard Deviation, Percentile rank, Skewness, Correlation Coefficiants, Statistical Significance

  • how the statistic connects with the research

D. Identify Ethical Guideline

  • The study followed the ethical guideline of [guideline], which ensured that..

  • Could be informed consent was obtained from all adult participants, research approved by IRB, Informed assent collected from participants under 18, participants were protected from harm or kept out of harm entirely, researchers assured confidentiality, participants were allowed to withdrawl at any given time even during experiment or debriefing given to participants at end of the study.

E. Explain the extent of which the research findings may be generalizable using evidence from the study

  • First sentence: is the study generalizable. Second sentence: Why?

F. Explain how one of the findings supports/ refutes the psychological concept or hypothesis of the study

  • The study [supports/refutes] the hypothesis because [evidence from data] shows...

  • First: does the study support or refute the hypothesis. Second: explanation connecting to data from study to support your answer
