Embedded Computers

Software consists of the programs; this includes System Software (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) that helps the computer run, and Application Software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Zoom, Excel) that helps users perform specific tasks. Data represents raw facts like names and prices. People are the users who interact with the system, such as teachers or managers. Processes are the steps followed to complete tasks, such as entering scores, calculating grades, and then generating report cards.

Future Careers and Digital Skills

The field of information technology offers numerous career paths, including roles as programmers, systems analysts, network administrators, and software engineers. Emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are creating new opportunities, such as AI specialists developing chatbots. Success in these fields requires digital skills like critical thinking, digital literacy, and IT project management, such as using Python for data analysis.
