Structure of the Skull

  • The skull consists of several layers:

    • Outer Table: The outermost layer of the skull, which is dense and provides protection.

    • Inner Table: The inner layer of the skull, which lies adjacent to the brain and is also dense.

    • Diplo: The spongy bone located between the outer and inner tables. This layer acts as a cushion.
