Blurting for Halogens and noble gases
Halogens are group 7 elements
They consists of bromine, chlorine and iodine
Iodine forms a grey solid
Group 7 elements are very reactive because they only need to lose 1 electron
As you go down group 7, elements become less reactive. This is because as you go down the group, the atom gets bigger and therefore the outermost electrons move away from the positive nucleus. This makes it harder for the element to react
Bromine is a brown liquid and poisonous
Iodine is a dark grey solid that forms purple vapours
Chlorine is a green gas and highly reactive, it is also poisonous
Noble gases are inert. They do not need to borrow electrons
As you go down the group, the melting and boiling point decreases
