An esthetician’s massage service are commonly limited to certain areas of the body: the face, neck, shoulders, and décolleté, depending on your state’s scope of practice.

Therapeutic massage, such as deep tissue massage and manual lymph drainage, should be performed only by licensed massage therapists who specialize in these areas.
