Romans 12

Living For Christ

1. We are a living sacrifice

   1. We have to choose to present our bodies to God

   2. We do this because God has been so good to us

   3. And God wants us, not just our works but our bodies

   4. One that is not to conform to the world

   5. But one renewed in God and his ways

2. How to Live

   1. In Humility

      1. Don’t think yourself higher than any other

      2. Be wise and know God has dealt grace to us despite our issues without, not because we’re better

   2. The Church

      1. It is considered many in one

         1. Unity not uniformity

      2. We have different roles to play

      3. God has given each of us gifts to use

         1. Prophesy, Ministry, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, cheerfully merciful

      4. Love without hypocrisy

      5. Hate evil

      6. Cling to God’s truth of good

      7. Love each other

      8. Diligently do all these things as serving the Lord

      9. Rejoice in hope and have patience in tribulations

      10. Pray constantly

      11. Be kind to outsiders

   3. Outside the Church

      1. Bless those who persecute you, don’t curse them

      2. Celebrate with those who rejoice and cry with those who weep

      3. Have empathy

      4. Be humble, mentally not just physically

      5. Don’t think your opinion is better

      6. Seek no vengeance or grudges

      7. Visibly seek and praise what is good

      8. Live peacefully with all men

      9. Vengeance is God’s

      10. Be kind to your enemy

      11. Overcome evil with good rather than let yourself be overcome by it
