hormones
antidiuretic hormone (ADH) or vasopressin
increases water retention in the kidneys which decreases urine production
too much- diabetes insides- increases urination and thirst
not enough- water retention- increased urine output, decrease in Na in blood
Oxytocin (OT)
stimulates contraction of the uterus during childbirth, and promotes the release of breast milk
too much- increased uterine contractions, emotional dysregulation
not enough - impaired labor and delivery, lack of partial bonding
