In this class period, we will be learning about the following labs. All CLO’s will be related to these eight (8) labs from a Complete Blood Count

(CBC) and a Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP).

By the end of the class period, the student will be able to:

1. identify normal and abnormal laboratory values for the above labs. (A,5)

2. analyze assessment findings that are expected in the client with an imbalance of the above labs (A,5):

3. identify the most likely conditions, diagnoses or cause of imbalances for the above labs (A,5)

4. analyze interventions that may be needed while providing care to a client with an imbalance in the above labs (A,5)
