Hybrid Vehicles Key Notes:

  • Function on no noise

  • Can still be providing power

  • “Auto stop” will act as if the vehicle is off

  • No running motor

Shutting Down Hybrid Vehicles:

  • Stabilize, chock tires

  • Identify as potential hybrid

  • Put in park and parking break

  • Turn off vehicle

  • Auto stop light off

Tesla:

  • high voltage 400 directly underneath floor panel

  • DC-DC converter in front right wheel well, on passenger side of the fire wall

  • High voltage bales marked orange underneath rear seat inside rocker panel on passenger side front

  • DO NOT CUT ORANGE

  • Tesla Battery 12v Battery located underneath the hood

  • High Voltage shut down located under the hood first responder cut loop disables sirs and Air Bag components

  • When cutting double cut

  • NEVER assume it’s powered off

  • Ensure that parking break is on

  • Reinforced in B Post, most difficult to cut

  • During dash displacements Do Not push against floor pan due to battery underneath

  • Parking Break (Push to engage)

  • First Responder cut loop
