Welcome to our first edition of the 7th Grade Science newsletter! We are excited to kick off this school year and keep you informed about important updates, upcoming events, and all the wonderful things happening in our class. Let’s dive in!
Important Announcements
Meet Your Teachers
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Shannon Patrick will be teaching 7th-grade science this year, and she will be collaborating with Mr. Daniel Johnson. Together, they will provide a dynamic learning experience for our students.
Edmentum Curriculum
This year, our class will be utilizing the Edmentum curriculum. Students will have digital access to all materials on their Chromebooks and will also receive paper copies of notes for each lesson. These notes are valuable resources and can be used during assessments.
Assessments
Get ready for short quizzes after each lesson to reinforce learning, along with post-tests at the end of every unit. We believe these assessments will greatly support your child’s understanding of the material.
Recent Celebrations
Open House
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Open House on September 24th! This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to meet the teachers, learn more about the curriculum, and ask any questions you may have. We hope to see all of you there!

Unit Schedule
Our first lesson, starting on September 15th, will focus on the methods of science. We are looking forward to engaging students in exciting scientific investigations and discussions!
