Writing fractions in simplest form

a fraction is written in simplest form or lowest terms when the numerator and the denominator have no common factors other than 1

Ex: 2/3 is written in simplest form because 2 and 3 have no common factor other than one. the fraction 4/6 is not in simplest form because 4 and 6 both have a factor of 2
