Waxing Central Incisor

  1. Observe adjacent central incisor and mark line angles & developmental depressions

  2. Scratch tooth surface w/ PKT-1

  3. Mark margin w/ pencil for visualization

  4. Add thin layer of sticky wax

  5. Add wax in bulk, going in circular motions to blend layers

  6. Smooth surface

  7. Rotate in all directions to see over/undercontoured areas

  8. Add wax if needed & cont smoothing edges

  9. Add wax in prox surface & place tooth in dentoform to determine contacts

  10. Adjust incisal height

  11. Mark lingual fossa & margins w/ pencil

  12. Carve distoincisal line angle

  13. Carve embrassure spaces

  14. Create developmental depressions

  15. Polish


Tips

  • always carve from tooth to wax or parallel to CSM to prevent submargination
