Tectonic events don’t discriminate by wealth. However, the effects and earthquake differ due to the ability to monitor, predict, protect and prepare against a hazard. This is depedent on a countries wealth to provide these resorceses.

The power and location and time of earthquakes will not change but they could be predicted by historical records. This can help show prople living therre the risk and when to ebvacuate to prevent high cassualties. If a country is aware that the could be an upcomig earthquake they can warn the public through tv and media displays. The responce will be more efficient and effective if a county is expecting an earthquake.
