Biomechanics
Law 1 - an object will remain at rest or in motion unless acted upon by an external force
Law 2 - f = mxa
Law 3 - every action has an equal and opposite reaction
Load + Fulcrum + Effort → First, second, third class levers.
What is biomechanics:
Physics of human movement
Balance: maintain stability when stationary or moving
Factors: centre of gravity, line of gravity, base of support, mass of body
Base of support (BOS) - contact with the base of the surface
Centre of gravity (COG) - equally balanced, object is at centre of mass
Line of gravity (LOG) - theoretical line that is drawn from centre of gravity to the base of support
Mass of body - increase mass of body or object increases stability
Stability - resist being moved
Factors: dependent on the centre of mass being directly above base of support, increase in friction, increase in rotation, increase in mass, lean into an oncoming force
Force -

Motion -
Factors:
Levers - for a lever to move a resistance force must be applied. A lever amplifies a small force and turns around a fixed point (axis).
