Environment

KEY CONCEPTS/BELIEFS

All religious believers believe that life is sacred/special and that it should be treated with respect. The belief that God created the world, means it has to be looked after, and that God gave people to duty of that (stewardship). With this we also have the right to decide what happens to the world and all species in it (dominion), we have permission from God to have power over nature. Others also believe that nature is a gift of love from God, and so they worship and praise him for his creation.

“God made the world and gave the duty of stewardship to humans” - Genesis 1:28

So if humans don’t care for the earth and its animals they must face God’s judgement and be punished.
