Pectoralis Major - Innervation & Action

  1. Medial and Lateral Pectoral Nerves

    1. Clavicular head - C5-C7

    2. Sternocostal head - C8-T1

  2. Actions

    1. Clavicular - flexion, adduction, & medial rotation of humerus

    2. Sternocostal - extension of flexed humerus


Pectoralis Minor - Innervation & Action

  1. Medial and Lateral Pectoral Nerves (C5-T1)

  2. Actions - depresses of shoulder, anteriorly tilts, forced inspiration


Subclavius

  1. Nerve to Subclavius (C5-C6)

  2. Actions - Depresses & stabilizes clavicle


Serratus Anterior

  1. Long thoracic nerve (C5-C7)

  2. Actions - Protracts scapula, upward rotation


Deltoid (3) - Anterior, Lateral, Posterior

  1. Axillary Nerve (C5-C6)

  2. Actions

    1. Anterior - Flexion & Medial Rotation

    2. Lateral - Abduction

    3. Posterior - Extension, External Rotation, Horizontal Extension (Horizontal Abduction)
