Anarchism origin

Anarchism is a collection of ideas and ideologies which argue to abolish the state either it is because it is evil and exploitative or that it is unnecessary and that mankind can live and cooperate without the need of law enforcement.

The STATE to anarchists refer to the concentration of power in political institutions. The STATE is opposed by the people as they are either UNNECESSARY, COERCIVE or they DENY INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM/LIBERTY.


COLLECTIVIST ANARCHISM

  • associated with communism - which is sometimes associated with socialism and which flourished in the 19th Cent. This was a belief that human nature should go back to self-governing and self-reliant communities which were associated with key thinkers like MARX and ENGELS and Anarchist thinkers like PETER KROPOTKIN.

  • also associated with socialism, is a belief that human kind is naturally social and prefers to achieve goals collectively rather than individually {KEY THINKER MIKHAIL BAKUNIN}

INDIVIDUALISM

  • views mankind as not fundamentally social but preferring to be able to exercise his or her individuality freely. All social and political constraints are seen as oppressive {MAX STIRNER}
