Samuel Clemens also known as Mark Twain was born on November 30, 1835. When he was a boy he had very bad health. He was a very serious man. One of the reasons people think this is because he was financially unstable. Because of his finances he had to move from his birth state, Missouri, to the Mississippi river because there were more opportunities for him there. When he was there he became a justice of the peace. Over the years he had many careers but he is most famous for writing The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
