Present Continuous Tense (To be doing)
The Spanish present continuous tense is formed easily by adding either ando for regular ‘ar’ verbs or iendo for regular ‘ir’ & ‘er’ verbs to the end of verbs.
The tense represents when an action is being performed in the moment, for example ‘I am thinking’ or ‘I am playing’
The use of this tense is as follows:
Conjugated form of ‘estar’ for the person performing the verb followed by the verb with the ending mentioned above
Example:
I am writing - estoy escribiendo
You are speaking - estás hablando
