• Anterior (Ventral):

  • Definition: Refers to the front of the body.

• Posterior (Dorsal):

  • Definition: Refers to the back of the body.

• Superior (Cranial):

  • Definition: Refers to the upper part of the body or towards the head.

• Inferior (Caudal):

  • Definition: Refers to the lower part of the body or towards the tail (or feet).

• Proximal:

  • Definition: Refers to being closer to the point of attachment or origin.
