organization of the human body

there are 6 levels

  1. chemical: it includes atoms and formed atoms called molecules. ex. DNA, CHONP

  2. cellular: molecules form cells, which is the basic unit of life. there are different cells such as skin cell, muscle cell, and nerve cells

  3. tissue: a group of cells clumped together is called tissue. there are 4 different types of tissue. connective tissue, nervous tissue, epithelial tissue, muscular tissue

  4. organ: organs are made up of 2 or more types of tissues. it forms a recognizable shape that has a specific function

  5. organ system: and organ system is a collection of organs that have common functions that work together to create a system

  6. organism: an organism is a living individual that has many organ systems that function
