1774- Thomas Paine arrives in America
1775 (April)- Paul Revere’s midnight ride
Dr. Joseph Warren summoned Paul Revere to have him warn that British troops would attack Lexington and arrest Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
Revere used lantern signals to communicate with the Sons of Liberty where the British were coming from in case his ride was unsuccessful(1: by land, 2: by sea).
William Dawes also delivered the same message but after Revere, since he took a longer route. but they were intercepted by British patrol.
While continuing on to Concord, Revere, Dawes, and fellow Son of Liberty Dr. Samuel Prescott were intercepted by British Patrol. Although Revere was the only one captured, he was released shortly after.

Massachusetts Royal Governor Thomas Gage tries preventing violence by ordering the seizing of weapons/powder being stored in Concord but underestimated the colonists who got wind of the plan

1777 (Sept)- Battle of Saratoga
