About the WSH Awards for Supervisors
Recognizes the commitment of supervisors towards the safety and health of their workers.
Aims to enhance workplace safety performance.
Criteria for Award Eligibility
Accident Record: No fatal or permanent disability accidents in the past year.
Compliance: No breaches in workplace safety regulations.
Commitment: Must demonstrate strong commitment to worker safety and well-being.
Eligibility: Must be a Singaporean, Permanent Resident, S Pass, or Work Permit holder.
Experience: At least 2 years as a supervisor overseeing at least 5 workers.
Role: Should be in a junior supervisory role, not a managerial position.
Training: Completed at least one WSH supervisory level course during the qualifying period.
Exclusivity: Must not have won the WSH Award for Supervisors in the last five years.
Evaluation Process
Evaluations performed by respective industry associations:
ASMI (Marine and Offshore)
CDAS (Logistics)
SMF (Manufacturing)
SCAL (Contractors)
Shortlisted supervisors to undergo interviews.
Disqualification Factors
Involvement in workplace accidents leading to significant repercussions.
Use of false or misleading documents in the application.
Withdrawal of incidents reported during the application period.
Application Process
Preparation Steps: Check eligibility and prepare required documents.

a) Written Application
Format Specifications:
Arial, size 11, 1.5 line spacing, max. 5 pages.
Questions to Address:
Encourage worker safety ownership.
Ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate safety messages effectively.
Recognize positive safety behavior rewards.
b) Video Introduction
Content Requirements:
Personal introduction and supervisory roles.
Safety leadership initiatives.
Key achievements in safety improvement.
Motivation for applying.
Technical Specifications:
Maximum duration: 2 minutes; 720p resolution required.
Submission via a video hosting platform.
