Blood collection equipment
Syringe - a device used to inject fluid into or withdraw them from something
Evacuated tube system - preferable to the needle and syringe it allows the blood to pass directly from the vein to the evacuated tube.
Butterfly - also known as winged infusion set, used to draw blood from a vein or intravenous therapy(IV) to a vein.
Universal lancet and feather lancet - a sharp- pointed and usually to two edged surgical instrument.
Tourniquet - a device for stopping the flow of blood through a vein or artery, typically by compressing a limb with a cord or tight bandage
Cotton - soft absorbent, and hypoallergenic and is used to clean the puncture site
Alcohol - is used as antiseptic
Micropore - medical tape is a type of pressure sensitive adhesive tape in medicine and first aid to hold a bandage or other dressing onto a wound.
Anticoagulant tubes - contains an additive that either accelerates clotting of the blood (cloth activator) or prevent the blood from clotting(anticoagulant)
Capillary tubes - are small and thin tubes with a narrow inner diameter, usually ranging from 0.5 to 2 mm
Microtainer - a very small container that has additive to serve as cloth activator or prevent the blood from clotting.
