Prevention of Household Poisons (SPP)

1. Safe Storage of Medicines and Chemicals

  • Store all medicines, insecticides, and rodenticides in locked cabinets.

  • When locked cabinets are unavailable, use a suitcase with a lock.

2. Proper Handling of Household Chemicals

  • Do not leave lye, polishes, kerosene, or other chemicals on low shelves or floors; locked storage is preferred.

  • Never store household chemicals with food.

3. Prevention of Accidental Ingestion

  • Dangerous solutions should not be left in drinking glasses or beverage bottles.
