This is where we are introduced to the sons of God which had been living in the midst of the humans. The one who were ministering to Cain’s lineage. They had begun to lust for the woman on earth and the NIV version says that the married them (This doesn’t refer to a physical wedding rather, it speaks of consummation) The bore Nephilim who are the giants that the bible speaks of. That goes to show how disrespectful the fallen angels were. They not only taught man the secrets of Heavan but defiled the very first convernant God had laid on earth which is marriage. The concept of disrespect roots of out defilement and disobedience and impurity as a whole. The men of Noah’s time completed all of this.

Pay attention to something here, God said that Noah and his wife may enter the boat and his sons and their wives. it goes to show what i had mentioned earlier. Enoch may not have realised that he had the power to save his lineage by raising them in the ways and wisdom of God but Noah realised this. In the midst of constant defilement and evil, Noah’s son’s did not fall prey and the guidance of God lead them to marry woman who didnt fall prey either

Obeidience is key too. Noah was 500 years when God told him floods would come and Noah was 600 when it actually came. Only God knows how long Noah took to build the ark and only God knows how long Noah waited before the flood actually came.
