-Section 2: Chemistry of Life- 11 lectures

-Section 3: Biological Information: Genetics, Heredity And DNA- 9 lectures 



  • Lectures will be assessed as you go:

-Section 1: Origin of Life- Essay

-Section 2: Chem of Life- MCQ test covering Section 1 & 2- online on blackboard

-Section 3: Bio Information: Genetics, Heredity And DNA- MCQ test covering section 3

-End of Module Exam(MCQ)



  • Practicals are 50% continuous assessment, 50% exam

  • Assessment mark breakdown available on Blackboard

  • Lab manuals, purchase from Hamilton Concourse outside Biolab- on Thursday & Friday from 9:30 to 4:30pm 

  • 1st Practical on 1st/2nd Oct within assigned groups
