People in Iran tend to practice the Islamic religion. Followers of said faith are called Muslims. Islam’s primary followers are in the Middle East. In the Middle East, women’s rights tend to be restricted compared to the Western world.

About 6 young people were arrested in response to their video dancing to Pharell Williams. The video in Iran was blurred for Iranians. Officials said that women were arrested for not wearing head scarves and being too close to the men.
Architecture
Materials in past centuries varied compared to today.
Aniconism is a denial of the use of icons or imagery in paintings. In Muslim architecture, they use geometry to repeat patterns of flowers, plants, calligraphy, or vines.
Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi lived from 780 – 850
He was the first person to treat algebra as its own discipline and introduced the methods of "reduction" and "balancing"
He has been described as the father or founder of algebra.
The words algorithm and algebra come from the title of his book (the word al-jabr, meaning "completion" or "rejoining")
Ibrahim ibn Sinan lived from 908-946
He was a mathematician and astronomer and who studied geometry, especially tangents to circles
All of this advanced mathematical and geometrical knowledge was put to use in mosques, and indeed, their complex designs would not have been possible without it.
