NUin Program Experience
Study Abroad Basics
First semester study abroad program for first-year students at a partner institution in Europe.
- Focus on studying in Greece at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT).
- Cohorts of over 200 students, organized into smaller family groups of 20-25 students.
- 24/7 site staff available for guidance and support.Student Success Coordinators lead family groups to assist in adjusting to the new environment and connecting with local resources.
Day in the Life of an NUin Greece Student
Life in Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki as the second largest city in Greece located in Northern Greece, known for its beauty by the water and vibrant downtown area.
- The American College of Thessaloniki serves as the campus for NUin students.
- Historical background: founded in 315 BC; significant landmark—the White Tower located on the waterfront.
- Social engagement: the boardwalk is a popular social space for students and local residents, perfect for evening walks and community interaction.
Accommodation
Students will stay in one of two hotels:
