Teaches

Padre Pio is a venerated Saint in the Catholic Church (September 23)

Padre Pio one day recieved stigmatum where he beared the wounds of Christ in the hands that mirrors the same crucifixion that Christ experienced. The wounds never scarred/infected continued to bleed and remained stable the wounds never healed until the day before padre pio’s death where they were completely healed with no scars left behind.

This was studied by Chief physician, Luigi Romellemi, no apparent natural explanation how it happened or how they kept bleeding and concluded the wounds were not caused by any ordinary infliction.

Pope Kyrollos 6th

Born in 1902 August 8th was named Azer, he was a well-known deacon forexmplary behaviour, voice, outstanding script-writing, teached young deacons hymns, penmanship, and mathematics.

He decided to become a monk in El-baramous monastery saying “which is preferable; a holy life and real itnernal happiness, or the suffering and painful life one has to live in the secular world?“

Bishop Youannis discussed the obstacles of becoming a monk, every step is filled with pain, insults, and many kinds of temptations, would never allow him a day with a clear and peaceful mind. He responded “My hope and trust in God is very strong, ask the the Lord to grant me strength and success. The Lord Jesus Christ is fair and will not forget those who love him“

MARTYRS OF SHEHEET

  • 49 elders

  • Anba Youannis and 48 elders

  • Martinos and Zius

On 26th Tobe, 49 elders of sheheet were martyred. Pagan barbarians attacked the monastery. Anba Youannis said “whoever amongst you would like to become a martyer let him stand, and hwoever is afraid hide in the palace”. He remained with 48 elders who were slaughtered by the berbers.

Martinos (messenger) and his son (Zius) hid and looked up and saw the angels placing the crowns of glory. on the elders who were killed. They both revealed themselves to the berbers and were killed and recieved the crown of martyrdom.

The other monks hiding came down took the bodies and placed them in a cave.

Their feast day is 5th of Amshir which is the day their bodies were relocated to a church that was built for them, that building deteriorated so a new church was built which is currently present in the monastery of St Macarius, the cell where the bodies are kept is Ehme Epseet (cell for the 49)
