le futur proche

futur proche is equvalent to using the term “going to” in english to indicate the future
in french, futur proche is the near future
to use futur proche we conjugate the verb aller so it agrees with the subject and add an infinitive verb directly after it
- ex :
- je vais jouer au tennis (i am going to play tennis)
- on va regarder un film (one is going to watch a film)
to make futur proche negative, we put ne…pas around the conjugated aller verb
- ex :
- je ne vais pas jouer au tennis
- on ne va pas regarder un film
- elle ne vends pas ton chat
