Don't Drink and Drive
Consequences for offenders:
First Time Offense: Fine of $7,500.
Second Time Offense: Lose license for one year.
Third Time Offense: Permanent loss of license.
Legal Framework:
It is illegal for a person to drive if their breath or blood alcohol levels exceed the prescribed limit (equivalent to two beers or 35 microgrammes of alcohol).
Enforcement:
Police may conduct breathalyser tests on erratic drivers or those excessively speeding.
Two consecutive convictions lead to a 12-month disqualification unless otherwise ordered by the court.

Payment of fee ($3,500 to the Police Finance Office).
